Microprograms initiative is part of the Human Capability Development Program with the aim of acquiring skills compatible with the rapid changes in the labor market.
The initiative aims to launch 350 microprograms in partnership with universities and employers in specialized sectors within four years.
MicroX
What are Microprograms?
These are programs offered in eLearning mode, consisting of at least two courses, with a minimum of 3 credit hours and a maximum of 23 credit hours. They provide a focused process of learning skills or competencies that ends with an assessment and a certificate. Microprograms are recognized by academic institutions and employers and can be combined to obtain higher academic qualifications.

Micro programs are delivered online either synchronously or asynchronously to ensure accessibility and support seamless, flexible and streamlined learning experiences.

Microprograms are stand-alone units that can be combined to gain higher qualifications according to the hours approved in the National Qualifications Framework.
Recognized
Microprograms are recognized by academic institutions as bearing academic credits, as well as by employers as meeting the industry skill requirements.
Assessment-Based
At the end of the program, the skills and knowledge of the learner are assessed through controlled and systematic measures with clear standards.
